Description
No. 6 Church Green is a mid-18th century L-plan house that stands two storeys high with attics. It is constructed of local brick and features a plain tile roof with shallow tumbled parapet gables and end stacks. The house has two hung sash dormer windows with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are five hung sash windows set in moulded wooden frames with flat arches, and four similar ground floor windows that have cambered, gauged brick arches. The central doorway is adorned with a moulded architrave, panelled reveals, a pulvinated frieze, and a cornice. It features a six-panelled door and a rectangular fanlight. Inside, the house retains its original staircase. It occupies a prominent position on the green, facing the church.
