Description
No 12 Church Green is an early to mid 19th century double fronted house with three bays, where the central bay slightly projects. It is constructed of gault brick and features a shallow pitched hipped slate roof. The house has two symmetrical stacks, each with four square shafts and common entablatures. It stands two storeys tall and has a moulded brick plinth, an eaves cornice, and a band between the floors. On the first floor, there are three hung sash windows set in cambered arches with stone sills. Flanking the entrance, which is approached by stone steps, are two larger windows in gauged brick arches with key blocks. The entrance itself consists of two panelled doors within double recessed round-headed arches made of gauged brick. This building is noted for its prominent position on the green.
