Description
Nos 13 and 14 Church Green are a pair of estate cottages built in 1877, as indicated by the initials E.F. on two stone plaques. The cottages are two storeys high and constructed from yellow gault brick, which is rusticated at the corners. They feature slate roofs with patterned ridge tiles and a central ridge stack. The gable ends have pierced and shaped bargeboards with finials. On the first floor, there are two 2-light horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars set in cambered arches, while the ground floor has two similar 3-light windows. Each cottage has a side entrance with a plank door and a rectangular fanlight. These cottages are noted for their location on the green.
