Description
By The Stream is a pair of attached cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are built from washed lias stone and feature slate roofs with gable ends and a tile ridge. The cottages have three brick chimneys located at the left-hand gable, the party wall, and the right-hand gable. The building is two storeys high and has a total of four windows. The windows are two-light wooden casements with glazing bars and wooden sills, with some old glass still present. The front door, located at the centre left, is made of wood with flush panels and six glass lights. At the rear, there is a continuous 19th-century outshut with washed rubble walls and a Roman tile pentice roof. The front area is enclosed by iron railings featuring fire-tongue finials and urns.
