Description

The road bridge over the River Winniford is an early 19th-century structure featuring stone walls and a single segmental arch. The arch is constructed with voussoirs that extend into the abutments. Beneath the bridge, there is a cobbled ford surface that is visible between the abutments. A modern road bridge has been built on top of the old bridge, which is not included in the listing. The bridge is adorned with early 19th-century cast iron railings that have arrow-heads and finials, forming a balustrade.
