Description
Roadstead Farm is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which has been re-modelled. The building features coursed rubble-stone walls that have been notably repointed. It has a thatched roof that is hipped at both ends and a brick stack located at the center. The house is two storeys high and has three windows, which are three-light casements that include some leaded glass and wooden glazing bars, with wooden lintels above them. The front door, positioned to the left of center, has flush panels and four glass lights, dating from around 1800. There is a hipped thatch porch canopy supported by two wooden posts. To the right side of the house is a 20th-century door with frosted glass panels.
Attached to the property is a wall that is approximately 14 feet high and 20 yards long, running along Sea Hill Lane. This wall is made of rubble-stone and features freestone coping.
