Description
Nos 22 and 26 Hogshill Street are an attached shop and cottage dating from the early 19th century. They feature roughcast stone walls and a bitumenized slate roof with stone gable copings. There are brick stacks on the left-hand party wall and the right-hand side. The building is two storeys high and has a total of five windows. Number 22 includes two canted bay windows, which were added in the 19th century, with sashes that do not have glazing bars. The front door is centrally located and has recessed panels with two top lights, framed by a wooden door surround dating to around 1800. Number 26 has a straight-bay shop window from the 20th century, with upper-floor sashes that include glazing bars. The door is made of wood and features two glass lights, also from the 20th century.
