Description
15 and 17 Hogshill Street is a shop and attached house dating from around 1800. The building features coursed lias stone walls, with the right side rendered. It has a slate roof and stone gable-coping with a level kneller on the right side. There are brick stacks located on the left, center, and right sides of the building. The structure is two storeys high and has five windows, consisting of three on one side and two on the other, all of which are sash windows with glazing bars. There is one 20th-century shop window for the Wool Shop, which has a concrete lintel above it.
The doors include a four-panelled door with two top-lights at the center of number 15, dating from the 19th century, along with two large plank carriage doors featuring strap-hinges. The door at the center of number 17 is made of wood and has four fielded panels, framed by painted pilasters and an entablature with a plain pediment above.
