Description
LANSALLOS THE WARREN, (north side), Polperro SX 2051-2151 5/124 Shute Cottage and Cottage adjoining - to right GV II
Pair of cottages. Circa mid C19. Stone rubble rendered with pebbledash and with slate roof with gable ends. Brick chimney stacks in gable ends. Pair of probably 2- room plan cottages, the left-hand cottage has entrance to left of front and the right-hand cottage has entrance in end wall. Built on solid rock in side of hill with 2 storeys to front. Regular 4-window front. Entrance to Shute Cottage on left in early C20 glazed lean-to porch. Four C19 12-pane sashes on ground floor with slate hoods above. Entrance to cottage on right in early C20 part glazed porch in gable end. Above, four C19 12-pane sashes in gabled half-dormers with timber shaped barge boards. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
