Description
These are a pair of cottages built in the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from stone rubble with slate hung above the ground floor and feature a slate roof. The left cottage has a hipped end on the left and a gable end on the right, while the right cottage, which is taller, has a gable end on the left and a hipped end on the right. A shared brick axial stack serves both cottages.
The cottages have a double-depth plan with two rooms each, heated by the shared stack. They are situated on a slope that descends towards the church and churchyard to the left. The exterior is two stories high with a regular arrangement of windows, featuring a slate hung front with 19th-century 12-pane sash windows. The left cottage has a 19th-century door on the left side, with a 12-pane sash window on both the ground and first floors to the right. The right cottage mirrors this design, despite being at a higher level. The interior has not been inspected.
