Description

A pair of shops with accommodation above, probably dating from the 19th century. The building is timber-framed and hung with rag slates above the ground floor, with a slate roof and gable ends. It likely has a double-depth plan, with two shops on the ground floor and accommodation above, accessed via an entrance on the left.

The exterior is almost symmetrical, with a two-window front. The ground floor features a pair of 19th-century shop fronts, with a central entrance flanked by two 19th-century shop windows that project slightly forward. These windows have tall, narrow panes set within segmental arched openings, supported by thin 19th-century cast iron columns with moulded caps and bases. A moulded cornice runs along the shop fascia. A 20th-century door is located on the left. The first floor has two early 19th-century 20-pane sash windows, and two 20th-century dormers light the attic. The interior has not been inspected.
