Description
This is an early 19th-century shop with living accommodation above, although the ground-floor shop was remodelled in the 20th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble with soft wood timber framing and slate hanging, topped with an asbestos slate roof featuring a hipped end. The original layout is unclear, but the building has a deep plan extending to the rear. The ground floor was gutted and partitions removed during a 20th-century remodelling, which included a new shop front with a stone rubble base and large 20th-century windows. The upper floors retain a regular two-window facade. The first floor has two hornless 12-pane sash windows in original frames. Two 20th-century windows are located above on the second floor. The interior was not inspected.
