Description
The Tastebud is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a cement washed slate roof with gable ends and a canted hip on the corner. There is a brick end stack on the right side.
The ground floor is occupied by the shop, located on a corner site with an entrance in the canted end, flanked by two 19th-century shop windows. The shop extends along Broad Street to the right, where there is a second entrance. The building has two storeys and a regular window arrangement of 1:1:4. The entrance in the canted corner has a 19th-century door and is flanked by two 19th-century shop windows, each containing three large panes. To the right, there is a 20th-century door and a 20th-century window in a sash opening. The far right side leads to the entrance of No 3 Broad Street.
On the first floor, there is a blind window in the canted corner, a hornless 16-pane sash window to the left, and three hornless 16-pane sashes to the right. There is also a blind window in an original sash opening at the far right. The interior has not been inspected.
