Description
Belmont is a house dating from the early 19th century, located on Middle Street in Padstow. It features a painted brick front with a dressed stone string course and quoins, and has a slate roof with gable ends and brick end stacks. The building has a double depth plan with a central entrance, consisting of two principal rooms at the front heated by end stacks, and two shallow service rooms at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front, showcasing brick flat arches and key blocks. The ground floor has a central part-glazed 20th-century door set within a 19th-century doorcase with fluted jambs. There are two early 19th-century 12-pane hornless sash windows on the ground floor, and two 3 over 6 pane 19th-century sashes on the first floor, flanking a blind central window. The interior has not been inspected.
