Description
Sand Pipers is a house dating from the early 19th century, located on Barry's Lane in Padstow. The building features a slate-hung exterior, likely constructed with a softwood frame, and has a slate roof with hipped ends. There is a brick axial stack on the left side.
The house has an overall 'L' shaped plan with a central entrance. It consists of two principal rooms at the front; the left room is heated by an axial stack in the rear wall, while the right room is heated by an end stack. A kitchen is located at the rear of the left room.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front, showcasing complete early 19th-century hornless sash windows. There are two canted bay windows on the ground floor and 12-pane sashes on the first floor. The left side elevation has two windows, also with 12-pane sashes.
The interior has not been inspected, but it appears to retain early 19th-century carpentry and joinery.
