Description

Laurel Cottage is a house dating to around the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble, with the front left-hand corner rebuilt. The roof is covered in asbestos slate, with a gable end on the left and a hipped end on the right. There are two rear lateral stacks with brick shafts. The house has a 2-room plan, with the entrance near the centre. Both rooms are heated by the rear lateral stacks. The front elevation has a regular 3-window arrangement with complete early 19th-century hornless 12-pane sashes. A 19th-century part-glazed door is located near the centre, flanked by two sashes below three sashes above. The interior was not inspected.
