Description
Ivy House is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of painted stone rubble and features an asbestos slate roof with crested ridge tiles and gable ends. The house has gable end stacks with brick shafts. The layout consists of a two-room plan, with a larger room on the left and a smaller room on the right. The entrance is located off-centre to the right, and there is a rear service wing to the right.
The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with three windows. All the windows are 20th-century replacement sashes. On the left side, there are two windows on both the ground and first floors, while the right side has one window on each floor. The entrance features a panelled and glazed door flanked by 18th-century pilasters and topped with a pediment. The right end of the house is blind with a blocked single light at the attic level, while the left end is also blind and rendered. The interior has not been inspected.
