Description
Wonford House is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with later alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick, with the front covered in pebbledash. It has an asbestos slate roof featuring crested ridge tiles and gable ends. The house has a double depth plan, with a central entrance and principal rooms located on the front left and right, along with shallow service rooms at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high, set on a plinth, and features a symmetrical three-window front. All windows are late 19th-century four-pane sashes, which are set within late 19th-century eared architraves. There are three windows on the first floor, and paired windows on the ground floor to the right and left. The central entrance consists of a 19th-century panelled and glazed door, which is located in a recessed porch that has panelled reveals, pilasters, and a flat hood supported by brackets. The right end of the house is blind. The interior has not been inspected.
