Description
Riverview is a house dating from around the mid-19th century, constructed of stone rubble with a slate and asbestos slate roof featuring hipped ends. It has a brick lateral stack at the rear. The building has a double depth plan with a central entrance, leading to two principal rooms at the front that were originally heated by likely end stacks. A staircase is located at the rear of the left-hand room, and there are probably service rooms behind the right-hand room.
The exterior is two storeys high and features a symmetrical three-window front, with complete 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash windows. In the centre, there is a 19th-century six-panel door with a corresponding doorcase, flanked by two sash windows, and three sash windows on the first floor. There is also a stair window on the left side wall, which includes 19th-century intersecting glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
