Description
Bassett House is a house dating from the mid-19th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of stone rubble, with the front rendered and lined out, while the remainder of the building is painted. The roof is slate, with gable ends, and there are gable end stacks with rendered shafts. The house has a 2-room plan with a central entrance, with each room heated from a gable end stack. A 20th-century addition extends to the rear. The front facade is symmetrical with three windows, the first floor featuring two 19th-century 16-pane sashes and a central blind window. The ground floor has a central half-glazed 20th-century door, a 19th-century 20-pane sash to the left and a 16-pane sash to the right. The sides of the house are blank. The interior has not been inspected.
