Puffin House And Garden Wall On East

Puffin House and the garden wall to the east are located in Padstow and date from around the 1840s. The house is stuccoed and rendered, featuring painted rag slates on the north elevation, and has a slate roof with hipped ends. There are rendered brick end and axial stacks.

The house has a front range on the north with a two-room plan, where the entrance is located at the higher end on the right, while the ground slopes steeply down to the left (east). There is a further wing at the rear on the south, forming an overall double depth plan.

The exterior is two storeys high with a regular two-window north front, and the ground slopes steeply down to the left. It features 19th-century sashes with intersecting glazing bars set in two-centred arched openings. There are two sashes on the ground floor and one on the first floor to the right, with a blind opening to the left that has 20th-century doors in the right-hand side elevation.

The garden wall extends to the east from the left side of the house, also stuccoed and rendered, and includes a two-centred arched doorway.
