Description

Two houses, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, are located on the west side of Riverside in Padstow. They are constructed of brick with granite dressings, and have slate roofs with gable ends, including double gable ends to the front. Brick axial stacks are present. The houses follow a plan typical of paired properties, featuring two rooms per floor and a double depth, with a pair of central entrances.

The exterior presents a symmetrical four-window facade, with two-storey bays at the left and right. Dressed granite quoins and timber bargeboards are notable features, as are the two 20th-century doors set centrally, above which are four-pane sash windows. Two further four-pane sash windows light the attic space. Canted bays with sash windows flank the entrance.

The interior has not been inspected. These houses form part of a group that includes No. 2, The Old Customs House Inn, No. 8, the Court House, and Raleigh House.
