Description

Rashleigh Cottage is a house dating from around the early 19th century. It is constructed from painted stone rubble with a steeply pitched roof covered in rag slate, featuring gable ends and brick end stacks. The house follows a double-depth plan, with the main entrance located to the left of centre, leading to two principal rooms on the front, which are heated by the end stacks, with service rooms situated at the rear. The front façade is regular, featuring a two-window arrangement with complete early 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash windows. A 19th-century door is positioned to the left of centre, flanked by two sashes, with two further sashes on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
