Description

ST BURYAN TRESIDDER SW 42 NW 7/158 Tresidder Farm Cottage - GV II Farmhouse. Datestone 1811. Granite rubble and dressed granite with granite dressings. Much of granite is reused C17 masonry. Asbestos slate roof with dressed granite stacks, heightened with brick, over the gable ends. Plan: Double-depth rectangular plan plus single-storey one-room-plan C19 extension at right angles behind the house towards the left and shallow lean-to behind the right-hand side. House has probably 2 rooms at the front flanking a central cross passage leading to a stair between 2 rear service rooms. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south front with central doorway. Over the doorway is a probably C17 chamfered lintel with the date 1811 incised to the middle. Similar lintel over rear doorway. C19 4-panel door with top panes later glazed. Late C19 or early C20 6-pane horned sashes in original openings. Interior not inspected.
