Description
Tresidder Farm Cottage is a farmhouse dated 1811. It is constructed from granite rubble and dressed granite, with much of the granite being reused 17th century masonry. The roof is made of asbestos slate and features dressed granite stacks that have been heightened with brick at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth rectangular plan and includes a single-storey, one-room-plan 19th century extension at right angles behind the house on the left, as well as a shallow lean-to at the back of the right side. The house likely contains two rooms at the front, flanking a central cross passage that leads to a staircase between two rear service rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window south front with a central doorway. Above the doorway is a 17th century chamfered lintel with the date 1811 incised in the middle, and there is a similar lintel over the rear doorway. The front features a 19th century four-panel door with later glazed top panes, and late 19th or early 20th century six-pane horned sash windows in the original openings. The interior has not been inspected.
