Description
Bosfranken Bottoms is a small house located in St Buryan, with one gable end dating from the 18th century and the rest constructed around the early 19th century. The building features painted granite rubble with granite dressings and has grouted scantle slate roofs. The left gable end is steep and includes a dressed granite chimney, while the right side has a brick chimney above an external rubble stack. The house has a two-room plan, consisting of a small parlour on the left and a kitchen/living room on the right, with a lobby entrance in between that leads to a projecting stair outshut at the rear. In front of the right side, there is a single-storey outhouse. The left-hand gable end of the house is the surviving part of an older, now ruinous, adjoining house. The exterior is two storeys high and has a slightly asymmetrical southwest front with two windows and a doorway that is centrally located. The first-floor windows are positioned closer together, and there is a 20th-century door along with late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
