Description

ST BREWARD SX 17 NW 6/191 White Meadow - II

Small house. Circa early C19. Granite rubble and moorstone with roughly dressed granite quoins. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and stone rubble end stack on right. Plan: One-room plan house with entrance to left of centre, probably directly into ground floor room. Heated by end stack on right. Lean-to outshot added on left hand gable end in circa mid C19. Exterior: Two storeys. Asymmetrical single window front with C20 part glazed door on left and C20 window in orginal opening on first floor. Lean-to outshot with plank door on left hand gable end. Interior: Ladder provides access to first floor. Small house representing an unusual survival of a one-room plan. Particularly important in the landscape, in an isolated position on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
