Description
White Meadow is a small house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble and moorstone, featuring roughly dressed granite quoins. The roof is made of asbestos slate with gable ends and has a stone rubble end stack on the right side.
The house has a one-room plan with the entrance located to the left of center, likely leading directly into the ground floor room, which is heated by the end stack on the right. A lean-to outshot was added to the left gable end around the mid-19th century.
The exterior consists of two storeys with an asymmetrical front. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door on the left and a 20th-century window in the original opening on the first floor. The lean-to outshot features a plank door on the left gable end.
Inside, a ladder provides access to the first floor. This small house is notable for being an unusual survival of a one-room plan and holds particular significance in the landscape due to its isolated position on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
