Description

Callevan Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with a coursed granite front featuring dressed granite quoins, lintels, and cills. The roof is made of grouted scantle slate with gable ends, and there are red brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double depth plan, consisting of two main front rooms with a central entrance passage that leads to a stairwell at the back. The smaller rooms at the back serve as service areas. On the left side, there is a single-storey outshut with a stack at the front and an open end at the back.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay front. It features original 19th-century 12-pane sash windows, all with dressed granite lintels and cills. The central doorway has a similar lintel and is fitted with a 20th-century glazed door and a rectangular overlight. The left-hand west end has a single-storey lean-to outshut. The rear elevation is asymmetrical, showcasing a tall 8-pane stair window in the centre, flanked by two 12-pane sashes on the first floor and a 16-pane sash on the ground floor to the right of centre. All rear windows are original except for a late 19th or 20th-century 2-light casement on the left and a 4-pane sash on the right. All rear windows are equipped with slate cills. The interior has not been inspected.
