Description
29 Ferris Town is a house with an attached corner shop, dating from around the 1830s. The original stucco has been removed, exposing rubble walls and timber lintels. The building features a slate roof with a hipped angle and a return on the right, along with brick chimneys over the party walls. It has a shallow plan with two reception rooms on either side of a central hall at the front, and a bowed corner on the right. There is an early 20th-century corner shop that adjoins the front of the right-hand side. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front, plus a one-window bowed bay at the right-hand corner. The central round-headed doorway has a six-pane door, a plain fanlight, and original 16-pane hornless sashes, including the bowed sash on the right. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
