Description
No. 4 St George's Road is a house located at the end of a row, built in the early 19th century. It features splatter dash over stucco or render and has an asbestos slate roof with projecting eaves. There is a brick end stack on the left and a hipped return on the right. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a nearly symmetrical three-window front. The wide elliptical-arched doorway is slightly left of centre and has a six-panel door flanked by key-pattern pilasters and a plain overlight above. The original 12-pane hornless sash windows are set within rendered architraves. The right-hand return into John Street includes two original sashes. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
