Description
Trenance is a house built in the 1830s for developer Josephus Ferris. It features a stucco front and an asbestos slate roof with wide eaves at the front, pierced clay ridge tiles, and brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan with two rooms at the front flanking a central entrance hall. It is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The central round-headed doorway has a 20th-century door and a plain fanlight, along with a porch that has a round hood supported by square columns. The house also has rusticated quoins, moulded window architraves with 20th-century windows, and widely spaced eaves brackets. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
