Description

ST COLUMB MAJOR UNION HILL (south side), SW 9063-9163 St Columb Major 17/261 - No 2 GV II

House. Early - mid C19 with alterations of later C19 and C20. Stone rubble; the ground floor rendered and lined out, first floor slate-hung and painted. Bitumenised slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Axial stack with brick shaft. Plan: Small 2-room plan,with entrance off-centre to right; each room heated from the axial stack. There is a passage through the right end. Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 2-window front. First floor has two 4-pane sashes of C19. Ground floor has C20 half-glazed door with late C19 4-pane sash to right and left, all with cambered arches and keystones. To right, a panelled double door leading to the passage, with cambered arch with keystone. Interior: Not inspected.
