Description
This is a house located in St Columb Major, Talskiddy, likely built in the 18th century, with later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is made of rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with an asbestos slate roof featuring ridge tiles and gable ends. It has gable end stacks with brick shafts.
The house has a two-room plan with a central entrance, where each room is of equal size and heated by a gable end stack. The exterior is two storeys high and presents a symmetrical front with two windows. All windows are 19th-century four-pane sashes. The central entrance features a 20th-century stable-type door, which is sheltered by a pitched slate hood supported by metal brackets. The right end of the house is blind, while the left end includes a small single-storey 20th-century addition that has a window on both the front and side. The interior has not been inspected.
