Description
22 and 22A Arwenack Street is a town house with later shops, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stucco with quoin strips and has an asbestos slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall, featuring a three-window range with blind central windows. The original windows include a 12-pane hornless sash on the second floor to the right and a 16-pane sash on the first floor to the left, while the other windows are later horned sashes. The ground floor has an altered late 19th-century pilastered corner shop front on the right, complete with a sloping fascia and moulded cornice, as well as a similar cornice over an altered double shop front on the left. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
