Description
20 and 21 Arwenack Street are two town houses from the 18th century that have later been adapted for shops. They are constructed of stucco, likely over rubble, and feature a steep asbestos slate roof with brick stacks at each end. The buildings have a double-depth plan that includes rear wings and stand three storeys high with a four-window range. The first floor has early 19th-century hornless sash windows with 16 panes, while the second floor features sash windows with margin panes, except for the third window from the left, which is blind. The ground floor of No. 21 has an altered late 19th-century shop front on the left, complete with a moulded cornice and basket-arched heads above the lights, while the other shop front is from the late 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
