Description

GRADE-RUAN CADGWITH SW 71 SW 9/9 Chy-War-Dinas 10 7 57 GV II Detached cottage, C18. Whitewashed rubble walls with timber lintels to ground floor openings. Thatched roof and brick chimney stacks at gable ends. 1 1/2 storeys at front, 3 storeys to rear as ground slopes down. Nearly symmetrical with extension. Ground floor: two 12-pane casement windows flank central wide timber panelled door. Two 12-pane casement windows directly above ground floor windows. 9-pane single light casement window to left of centre. Extension on right (north-west) with rounded whitewashed rubble walls and a semi-conical thatched roof. Round arched opening with granite dressings on left-hand side of extension with 2-pane C20 window in curve. Ground slopes down at side (to south-west) with a 12-pane casement window at base. Chimneys at gable ends. Interior not inspected.
