Description
The Square is a cottage dating from around the 18th century, with a large extension added in the 20th century. It features white rendered walls and a thatched roof, with a brick chimney located near the center of the ridge and a rendered square chimney on the right-hand gable end. The original block is situated on the right side. The cottage is one and a half storeys tall and has an asymmetrical front with five window openings. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century two-light six-pane casement windows flanking a partly glazed 20th-century door. The first floor has three 20th-century two-light six-pane casement windows. The block on the left is two storeys high and also asymmetrical, with four window openings. The ground floor features a central 20th-century three-light nine-pane casement window, while the first floor has two 20th-century three-light six-pane windows and one 20th-century three-pane window. The thatched roof rises where the older one and a half storey section meets the newer two storey part. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
