Description
GRADE-RUAN CADGWITH SW 71 SW 9/11 Cadgwith Cove Inn (formerly listed as 10 7 57 Cadgwith Hotel) GV II
Public house, circa C17 with circa mid C19 extensions, alterations and remodelling. C20 extension to rear. Whitewashed rubble stone walls with upper walls of whitewashed brick where heightened. Asbestos slate roof with brick stacks in gable ends. Ground floor plan comprising earlier part of building, 2 room with central cross passage. Later extensions to rear and above. 3 storeys, asymmetrical, 3 window front of 12-pane sashes with horns, slate sills and slight brick arches. Whitewashed brick porch at centre, large casement to right and double-glazed doors with side lights to left. First floor right of centre C19 panelled door, with rectangular fanlight, approached on right from gbalcony which has access to front high level road. Evidence of heightening of roof from 1½ storeys to 3 storeys on south-west gable. Interior much altered.
