Description
Cadgwith Cove Inn is a public house that dates back to the 17th century, with extensions, alterations, and remodelling occurring around the mid-19th century. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The building features whitewashed rubble stone walls, with the upper sections made of whitewashed brick where the structure has been heightened. It has an asbestos slate roof with brick stacks at the gable ends.
The ground floor plan consists of the original part of the building, which includes two rooms and a central cross passage, along with later extensions to the rear and above. The inn is three storeys tall and has an asymmetrical front with three windows, featuring 12-pane sash windows with horns, slate sills, and slight brick arches. At the centre, there is a whitewashed brick porch, a large casement window to the right, and double-glazed doors with sidelights to the left. On the first floor, there is a 19th-century panelled door to the right of centre, which has a rectangular fanlight above it. This door is accessed from a balcony on the right that leads to a high-level road at the front. There is evidence that the roof was heightened from one and a half storeys to three storeys on the south-west gable. The interior of the building has been significantly altered.
