Description

The raised pavement in front of Clifton Cottage and Smyrna is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from large rubble stone blocks and features a cobbled surface. Stone steps are located on the south-east side. The pavement starts below road level on the north-west, in front of the cottage adjoining Clifton Cottage, and rises to above road level in front of Clifton Cottage and Smyrna on the south-east. This structure is included for its group value.
