Description
The raised pavement at the entrance to the churchyard in Market Lavington is a notable feature from the 19th century. It is an inclined pavement that leads up to the churchyard entrance, situated in front of the school. The pavement is bordered by a brick wall with elliptical-shaped brick copings. The outer margin is made of malmstone and is defined by greensand 'doggers'. The paving consists of laminated stone set on end in lozenge patterns. There is also a flight of steps leading from the road to the pavement.
