Description

Tamarisk Cottage is a small detached cottage dating from around the mid-19th century. It features stuccoed walls, likely made of stone, and has a slate roof with gabled ends and an end stack. The building is possibly two rooms wide with service rooms at the back and consists of two storeys plus an attic, with attic windows located in the gable ends. The front is symmetrical with two widely spaced windows, which are two-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a ground floor verandah that has a slurried slate roof supported by chamfered wooden posts and small curved braces, extending across the front and around the ends over the doorways. The south-east end includes a glazed conservatory extension. The cottage is included for its group value. The interior has not been inspected.
