Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a cottage from the 18th century that has been extended in the 20th century, possibly with an earlier core. It features colourwashed brick and a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of 2 bays from the 18th century, with a slightly later single-storey bay and outshot added to the right, all resting on a rendered plinth. To the left, there are 2 bays added in the 20th century. The entrance door is located in the left 18th-century bay and has a flat hood above it. To the right, there are 2-light casements, along with 2 smaller windows in the right bays. Above the original bays, there are 2 eyebrow dormers with 2-light casements. On the lower level to the left, there are 2 more 2-light casements and another 2-light casement in an eyebrow dormer at the left end. The roof is hipped and sweeps down to the right, with a ridge stack positioned between the original bays. The cottage is included for its group value.
