Description

Clair Martin is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It features a scantling timber-frame structure with brick infill and some additions. The building is single storey with dormers at the rear and consists of four small bays, along with an outshot at the right end. The right two bays have scantling timber-frame and each contains a small two-light casement window. There is a 20th-century porch located under the main roof in the centre, with an additional two-light casement window to the left. A buttress is present at the right end, which includes a single casement window in the outshot. The roof is hipped and sweeps down on the right side, with a stack positioned at the left end of the ridge.
