Description

This is a house, now divided into a pair of cottages, with a 17th-century core that was largely encased in the 18th century and extended in the 19th. The building has a timber-frame structure covered with brick and a thatched roof. It is two storeys high and originally three bays wide, with a late-19th-century gable added to the right. On the left side, a late-19th-century two-panel flush door is centrally positioned, with two late-19th-century two-light casement windows to the left. Above these are two matching casements in eyebrow dormers, and a small casement in the dormer above the door. To the right of the central bay, two late-19th-century two-light casement windows flank a late-18th-century six-panel top-lit door, which is covered by a flat hood supported by moulded brackets. The window to the right is set within rebuilt brickwork. Above this section are two small eyebrow dormers. The roof is hipped on the left side, with a large chimney stack above the door. At the right end there is a two-storey late-19th-century bay window featuring a shop window on the ground floor and a two-light casement above, with a small gable over it.
