Description
Combed Wheat is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber-frame structure with plaster and brick infill, and a colourwashed thatched roof. The building consists of two bays of timber-frame construction, with an added long bay from the 18th century at the right end, all set on a flint plinth. The cottage is one and a half storeys high. It has two 20th-century two-light casement windows and a single casement window at the left end, along with a two-light casement window in an eyebrow dormer. There is also a two-light casement window in the right bay. The roof is half-hipped, with a ridge piece and a stack located on the ridge at the right end of the timber-frame.
