Description
The Todden Cottage is a detached cottage from the 18th century, constructed of whitewashed rubble with a thatched roof and brick chimneys. It is one and a half storeys tall and has an asymmetrical design. On the ground floor, there are three 12-pane casement windows and a partly glazed early 20th-century door situated between the first and second windows. Above the first and third windows, there are two 2-light 12-pane casement windows. To the right side of the cottage, there is a single-storey extension featuring a timber stable door with a small single light to the right and a 4-pane casement window placed asymmetrically above. The gable end has a 3-light casement window without glazing bars. The main block has a thatched roof, while the extension features a hipped thatched roof. The brick chimneys are located at the gable ends, with the right chimney made of early brick. The ground slopes up to the rear of the cottage, which has a single-storey elevation. Inside, there is a fireplace on the left gable with a chamfered lintel and run-out stops, characteristic of the Cornish range.
