Description

The Naval Coastguard Lookout is a lookout building, possibly a former Huer's hut, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of tarred rubble stone and features a slate roof with dry ridge tiles. The building has a brick chimney stack with stone dressings. It is a single-storey structure.

On the west gable, there is a boarded opening on the right that connects to an opening on the left of the south elevation. The east gable has a shouldered arched opening in the center, which is now boarded. The entrance on the left of the north elevation has a plain 20th-century timber boarded door. The north elevation also features a projecting chimney breast, with a brick stack that tapers asymmetrically and has stone corbelled dressings.
