Description
This building, known as 8-21 Fishtown of Usan, dates back to the mid-19th century and consists of a single-storey row that originally housed 14 cottages, although it is now derelict. To the off-centre left, there is a four-stage lookout tower. The structure is built of rubble with raised ashlar margins, and some window openings feature timber lintels. The tower rises from a pitched roof gear shed, which is harled. Each face of the tower has round-arched bipartite windows at different stages above ground. The south elevation features an oculus at the fourth stage, and the tower is topped with a crenellated wallhead parapet that includes a billeted corbel course and red brick stacks at two corners.
