Description
4 Usan Cottages, located in the Fishtown of Usan, are traditional cottages built in the earlier 19th century. They consist of a pair of single-storey, three-bay cottages that mark the beginning of a longer terrace built later. The cottages are constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and feature droved detailing around later windows, with harl pointing. Each cottage has a central door on the southeast elevation, flanked by windows and topped with 2-pane fanlights. There are projections at the rear of the cottages.
The windows are timber 4-pane sash and case style. The roofs are covered with stone slates and have coped gablehead skews, with brick stacks for chimneys.
