Description
No. 8 Church Street is a town house dating from the 18th century or possibly earlier. The exterior features slate hanging on studwork above a moulded cornice on the upper floors, while the rest of the building is rendered. It has a steep dry slate roof with large brick end stacks, with the right-hand stack positioned over a shallow chimney breast. The house has a shallow-depth plan and stands three storeys high, displaying a nearly symmetrical two-window front. The windows are 20th-century replacements, consisting of 16-pane horned sashes on the lower floors and 12-pane two-light casements on the second floor. The entrance features a six-pane door with a two-pane overlight, located to the left of centre. The interior has not been inspected.
