Description

No. 22 Church Street is a town house from the early 19th century. It features a painted rubble front and a dry slate roof, with a cast-iron ogee gutter. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical three-window front. The central second-floor window is blind, while the other windows are late 19th-century four-pane sashes. The central doorway is round-arched and has an original spoked fanlight above a panelled door. The arches on the ground floor have been replaced with quarried granite voussoirs, while the other arches are original segmental arches with rubble voussoirs. The interior has not been inspected but may hold interest.
